Installation
The installation of any Hothouse Product should only ever be carried out by a qualified
HETAS engineer. Any information, specification or recommendations provided here is
for reference only.
Installation - Type A
This installation is suitable when a free-standing stove is fitted into an existing clay lined
chimney. The installation consists of a single wall 45° (preferred) or a 90° bend with soot
trap. straight length and a flue pipe reducer which fits securely into the clay lined
chimney. All joints must be sealed with fire cement. When using this type of
installation it is essential that the clay lined chimney has been inspected and fit
for use.

Installation - Type B
This installation is suitable when a chimney system needs to pass through an external
wall. The installation consists of a single wall straight with cleaning door, single wall 45°,
twin to single wall adapter, twin wall telescopic straight, twin wall 45°, base wall support,
twin wall straight lengths and twin wall 45°, wall brackets, adjustable wall brackets, twin
wall rain/weathering cap. It is recommended that the chimney is supported for every 1.5
metres of vertical flue run.
Installation - Type C
This installation is suitable when a chimney system needs to pass through the internal
infrastructure of a building. The installation consists of a single wall straight with cleaning
door (single wall must change to twin wall a minimum of 150mm below ceiling), twin to
single wall adapter , twin wall straight, flat rosette, firestop, roof bracket, twin wall
rain/weathering cap.
